Christmas in the Islands

We loved our winter break in Hawaii. We got to spend lots of time with our families. The one thing we did often was play monopoly deal. Best intense game, especially with family members! We learned it from our friends Robby and Sharon during thanksgiving week. Of course we loved it and bought it for ourselves. When we got home we taught it to my brother and his family, then they got addicted! Then we taught Jordan's family and they got addicted too! It's such a fun game, and we know it for a fact because we were looking for new packs and they were all sold out! We finally found some at Wal-Mart. P.S: It's only $5!

Besides monopoly, we spent time at he Polynesian Cultural Center and the beach! The weather was ugly some days and there wasn't much to do. I got to babysit my brother's kids often, so we hung out at PCC. It was fun though, and I know Shayde loved having her cousins to play with. We took a ride on the Christmas canoe ride, visited the villages, and took lots of pictures. The beach was so pretty around New Years. It was the perfect weather for beach days. The tide was low for the babies too. Shayde loved the ocean, but we still came back to Utah white :( We were happy we got to go to the beach.

While in Hawaii, my baby practically grew up! She turned 6 months, halfway there. She got two teeth in like the first week. She even learned how to crawl! She's pretty much a pro now and is starting to pull her self up to stand up. It's crazy. Now I am waiting for her top teeth. Poor baby got a fever from it too. We finally got her a playpen since she will be moving all over. She doesn't like it but she is getting use to it. We also got her a walker which she loves. She can sit in it for a while now. Shayde is loving Sesame Street more and more. Her favorite song is ABC's with Elmo and India Arie. Me and Jordan seem to sing it a lot but it is catchy.
